 Aronov Lecture Series

The Aronov Lecture is one of two annual lecture series hosted by the Dept. of Religious Studies. I’ve pulled the following description from the REL website:

Named after the late Aaron Aronov—he founder of Aronov Realty for whom the department’s endowed chair in Judaic studies is also named—this annual lecture series was established in 2002. Its aim is to introduce to the University of Alabama community a nationally recognized scholar of religion who is capable of reflecting on issues of wide relevance to scholars from across the humanities and social sciences.

We began filming these lectures in the 2012-13 academic year, and the Dept. still films these lectures each year. You can find other videos of the lecture series on REL’s Vimeo Aronov Lecture showcase.
