Social Media Management
Since 2011, I have created and managed social media accounts both for three Religious Studies departments and two international academic organizations.

International Academic Organizations
The Religious Studies Project
In late Spring 2021, I created an Instagram account (@project_rs_) and supplemental Linktree for The Religious Studies Project (RSP), the longest-running and best-known podcast in the field of religious studies. This helped to expand our already well-established social media presence. As part of this initiative, I designed several new branding and content campaigns. As our social media presence was (and continues) expanding, I established new workflows for managing our publishing calendar in consultation with our Social Media Editor.
Culture on the Edge
In 2013, I helped create Facebook (@CultureOnTheEdge) and Twitter (@idendefying) accounts for Culture on the Edge, an international scholarly collaborative, and have continued to maintain them over the years.
Academic Departments
Department of Religious Studies at the University of Alabama
My foray into social media management began while I was a student in REL. Along with making videos and maintaining the website, I also helped to maintain the Dept. Facebook page (@RELatUA). I then helped create the Twitter pages for both the REL (@StudyReligion) and the Dept.’s student association (@AlabamaRSSA). The have since expanded their social media presence.
Dept. of Religious Studies at CU Boulder
When I began my M.A. at CU Boulder in 2014, the Department of Religious Studies had yet to venture into social media, so I established a Facebook page (@CUBoulderRLST) and Instagram (@cu_rlst) for the Department. Both are now managed by staff members.
Dept. of Religion at Emory University
Beginning my M.A. at Emory in 2017, I started a Facebook page for the Dept. of Religion at Emory University (@RELatEmory) which is now maintained by department staff.
